SpaFlo The Lightwell Hot Tub
Location: Leamington Spa
Excellence In Design In Small Spaces
Background:
The brief was to repurpose a small light well into usable space for the installation of a hot tub, in this case the area featured a window set against a wall to a depth of one metre located to the rear of a large terraced house within a modest garden approximately 6m wide by 9m long.
Before
After
Solution:
An 840mm by 1130mm water surface area hot tub (external size of 1250mm x 1100mm).
To make these dimensions work SpaFlo had to carefully change and minimise normal top edge details which allowed us to maximise the water surface area and make a two person hot tub. The final design included 16 jets on a profiled seat made for two people. The seat was designed so both users could face the garden. Jets were positioned for ultimate enjoyment aligned with an anthropometric model for maximum massage efficiency and comfort.
The SpaFlo Difference:
- The ability to take an ‘unusable’ space and make it usable
- 840 mm by 1130 mm water surface
- 16 jet two seat spa
- Delivery involved a small crane lifting over the rear fence of this Victorian property and hand moving the hot tub into position using dolly skates
- Hot tub designed to be compact, light and easy to manoeuvre
- Designed by Richard Gowland from SpaFlo and made using 316L Stainless steel
- Stainless Steel sourced from European mills
- The Hot tub has integrated LED lights and all the temperatures, lighting and jets can be controlled from anywhere using an App over WiFi or touch screen
