Award Winning SpaFlo Window Fronted Hot Tub - A Garden Objet D’Art

Location: Liverpool

Window Fronted Hot Tub

Excellence in New Concepts & Bespoke Designs

Background:

Inspired by a trip to Ibiza where commercial ‘glass’ or window fronted spas were part of a luxury club concept. Richard Gowland (SpaFlo) wanted to explore the concept of building a residential hot tub spa with full window frontage. The challenge would be to find suitable glass which can sustain high water temperature and pressure, constantly look good and work well with stainless steel.

Solution:

A SpaFlo unique window fronted hot tub was created with specially sourced plexiglass. This hot tub is a piece of art with real stand out. This design uses a combination of specially made swimming pool plexiglass and marine grade stainless steel. The plexiglass was used as part of the water walls at Sexy Fish in Manchester with the same welding methods applied.

The SpaFlo Difference:

  • Use of commercial spa engineering and luxury day club aesthetics to create residential product
  • The commercial engineering innovation to produce the hot tub installation
  • 2.45m x 2.2m external stainless steel hot tub
  • 60mm thick full height window to the front (the heaviest bit in the hot tub)
  • Internal water volume of 2,500 litres
  • Mosaic tiled inlay to the top edge perimeter (bespoke for this hot tub)
  • 2 x corner entrance steps which double up as arm rests whilst seated
  • 6 comfortable massage seats that share 20 Waterways jets finished with stainless steel escutcheons
  • Seating locations to maximise the glazed window views
  • Balboa BP21 control system with SpaTouch2 topside and a 3HP 2 stage Niagara pump
  • 2 x Colour changing LEDs
  • Thick insulation on the rear side for optimum heat retention
  • 3 piece grey canvas hot tub cover
